Job summary

Aviva Canada is hiring Field Adjusters to join our Property Field Claims team. This role is homebased, with candidates in the Greater Toronto Area, to support commercial property claims through on-site or virtual inspections.

You will investigate, negotiate, and settle claims, collaborate with insureds, lawyers, and brokers, and ensure timely, fair outcomes while providing expert guidance and maintaining data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Commercial lines claims.
• Experience handling first-party commercial claims across building owner/tenant, business income, stock, cargo, builder's risk, crime, and equipment claims.

Responsibilities

• Completes on-site and/or virtual inspections of commercial claims.
• Investigates and negotiates in accordance with claim procedures and guidelines.
• Reconciles vendor estimates for price and scope accuracy.
• Interview insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers to obtain facts.
