Job summary
Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Field Adjuster to manage, investigate and resolve assigned property claims. You will provide customer service to policyholders, gather information, and work with independent adjusters to deliver fair and timely resolutions. The role requires knowledge of policy forms, ability to inspect, estimate damage with Xactimate, and the flexibility to support catastrophe operations as needed.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid claims adjuster license.
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years property field adjusting experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Valid driver's license and vehicle provided at company discretion.
Responsibilities
Communicate with independent adjusters and experts to gather information on claims.
Negotiate and explain settlements with insureds or their representatives.
Answer calls from agents, public adjusters, insureds, and other vendors.
Review and analyze written information.
Prepare reports based on policy language and prepare detailed estimates of damage.
