You will work on federal income tax issues, assist with M&A tax structuring, draft communications, and contribute to trainings and due diligence efforts. The role emphasizes collaboration and professional growth within a hybrid/remote setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred).
• J.D. degree required.
• Tax LL.M. preferred.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Proficient with tax research databases (Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint).

Responsibilities

• Research and analysis of various federal income tax issues, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues and accounting methods, digital assets, and other matters.
• Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
• Draft emails and memos.
• Draft Firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax.
• Assist with Firm-wide trainings in federal income tax.
• Assist with Federal domestic tax due diligence in connection with M&A transactions.
