Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager II to support federal engineering and design initiatives for military, VA, and other government facilities. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality across life cycle stages, collaborating with internal teams and federal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Six years of project experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with increasing responsibility.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams on federal DoD/VA projects.
• Strong understanding of federal design standards, acquisition processes, contracts, and project financials.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong client service, negotiation and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with precision and integrity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal design teams, align technical work with project goals and federal requirements.
• Define project scope and develop schedules and budgets with clients and contractors.
• Develop and manage budgets, track costs, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintain alignment on expectations and compliance.
• Identify risks and scope changes; implement mitigation to limit impact.
• Manage contracts and change orders; coordinate with disciplines on billing and requirements.
• Develop and implement quality plans to meet client expectations and firm standards.
• Plan and lead routine project meetings with clients and teams.
• Oversee preparation and maintenance of project documentation.
• Mentor team members using Olsson Project Management programs.
