Job summary

Olsson’s Federal Engineering & Design Team is seeking a Project Manager III to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high-impact infrastructure for federal clients. You will oversee planning, design, and construction support for mission-critical facilities including military bases and VA campuses, guiding projects from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities include scope, schedule and budget management, client liaison, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Eight years of project experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction with increasing responsibility.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on federal projects (DoD/VA or similar).
• Strong understanding of federal design standards, acquisition processes, contracts and project financials.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle project management for federal projects (military bases, VA campuses, government facilities).
• Define scopes, schedules and budgets with technical teams; oversee execution for financial success and timely delivery.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary teams; align expertise with project goals and federal requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients and stakeholders; ensure compliance with UFC, DoD, VA and other standards.
• Manage contracts, change orders and risk mitigation to minimize impact.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of technical docs, including design plans, specs and cost estimates.
• Lead design reviews and implement QA plans to meet client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Maintain organized project records and performance documentation.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and support future opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements.
