Job summary

Olsson’s Federal Engineering & Design Team seeks a Project Manager III to lead multidisciplinary teams on high‑impact infrastructure for federal clients, including military bases, VA campuses, and other government facilities.

You’ll manage scope, schedule, and budget from concept through delivery, ensure compliance with UFC, DoD, VA, and related standards, and help shape proposals to grow our federal design capabilities.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of project experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction management.
• Experience delivering federal projects for DoD/VA.
• Strong knowledge of federal design standards and contract requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with integrity.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management for federal projects, including military installations, VA campuses, and other government facilities.
• Define project scopes, schedules, and budgets with technical teams, and oversee execution for financial success.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary teams, aligning expertise with project goals and federal requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients and stakeholders to ensure UFC, DoD, VA and other standards compliance.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of technical documentation, including design plans and cost estimates.
• Lead design reviews and implement quality assurance plans.
• Maintain organized project records and performance documentation.
• Cultivate client relationships to support future opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements.
