Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a diverse South Dakota operation in seeking an experienced Farm/Ranch Equipment Operator (MZ-10462). The role involves outdoor farming duties, operating planting, harvesting, and general equipment, with winter feeding duties possible.

Ideal candidates have crop production experience, agronomy skills, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset; salary is negotiable based on experience, with opportunities for advancement in a stable rural setting.

Qualifications

• Current crop production experience in small grains, hay, and/or row crop required.
• Agronomy skills would be a huge plus to go with spray application skills.
• Strong understanding of Precision, Mapping, and Prescription Farming a plus, ability to learn is a must.
• Routine maintenance and general repairs are commonplace.
• Spraying a plus, planting and harvest experience a plus.
• Animal health, experience around the Cow/Calf and/or Seasonal Backgrounding operation would be huge plus.
• Ability to be flexible during busy seasons, slower times as well; willing to assist with feeding and winter livestock care.
• Maintain a good attitude, work both independently as well as with a team, and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate farm and ranch equipment year-round including plant and harvest gear.
• Assist with backgrounding and cow/calf operations as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Be flexible with seasonal workload and contribute to feeding and livestock care.
