Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT Nebraska is seeking a Farm & Ranch Assistant to support corn and soybean production, field operations, and a 400-head cow/calf program. The role requires experience with large equipment, irrigation, and general maintenance across a mixed farm and ranch setting.

Housing is available. The position offers long-term stability and a chance to grow with a diversified Nebraska producer, with responsibilities that span crop and livestock management.

Qualifications

• Solid background in production row-crop farming and cow/calf operations.
• Experience operating larger farm equipment and irrigation is a plus.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of corn and soybean production, from field preparation to harvest.
• Operate John Deere and Case equipment and Kinze planters.
• Assist with irrigation throughout the growing season.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, servicing, and general repairs.
• Assist with all aspects of the 400-head cow/calf operation, including feeding, calving, herd health, processing, and general cattle care.
• Maintain fences, facilities, equipment, and other areas of the farm and ranch.
• Help prioritize daily work and handle responsibilities independently when the employer is unavailable.
