Job summary

Practice Resources, LLC seeks an experienced Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine coder for a fully remote role. You will review physician documentation, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II and Category II codes, and support denial resolution and quality reporting.

A minimum of 3 years' coding experience and current CPC/CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification are required. This role offers flexible scheduling and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current professional coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA or CPC-I).
• Minimum of three years of Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II and Category II codes.

Responsibilities

• Review and code Family Practice and Internal Medicine encounters using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, and Category II codes.
• Validate charge capture to ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and appropriate reimbursement.
• Assign diagnosis, procedure, modifier, and Category II codes based on provider documentation and official coding guidelines.
• Assist with denial management, payer workflows, and documentation improvement initiatives.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy while working remotely.
