Ideal candidates have ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS knowledge, Cerner EMR experience, and CCS-P or CPC certification, with a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach to coding and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT coding systems.
• Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation and chart notes.
• Experience with Cerner or other physician EMR systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows environments.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to customer service.
• Current CCS-P or CPC certification or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of medical coding or completion of a coding education program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Code hospital-owned professional charges with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure consistent coding practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS guidelines.
• Support reimbursement processes and ensure documentation quality.
