Madisonhealth is seeking a remote Facility Coding Specialist to accurately code hospital-based professional charges, collaborating across departments to ensure compliant reimbursement and high-quality documentation. Remote, Full-Time classification; Monday-Friday schedule.

Ideal candidates have ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS knowledge, Cerner EMR experience, and CCS-P or CPC certification, with a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach to coding and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT coding systems.
• Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation and chart notes.
• Experience with Cerner or other physician EMR systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows environments.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to customer service.
• Current CCS-P or CPC certification or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of medical coding or completion of a coding education program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Coding - Facility Coding Specialist - (FT)

This role supports multiple departments across the hospital organization, ensuring seamless collaboration and consistency in coding practices. The primary focus is to accurately capture all professional coding activities to support appropriate reimbursement. This position is responsible for coding hospital-owned professional charges with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to campus to allow for occasional in-person attendance.

Classification: Remote, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT coding systems
• Solid understanding of medical terminology,anatomy, and physiology, with the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation and chart notes
• Experience with Cerner or other physician EMR systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows environments
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service
