Job summary

Mindpath Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to join our national remote RCM group. You will apply CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS to encode medical documentation across facilities, ensuring accurate reimbursements and compliance with AMA/CMS guidelines.

This full-time remote position reports to the RCM Manager and collaborates with the RCM Leadership. We value accuracy, timely coding, and customer service, supporting mental health care access nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in medical coding/reimbursement.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS for billing.
• Experience with payer policies and CMS regulations.
• Experience with AdvancedMD and NextGen is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Audit charge encounters for correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.
• Assist with pre/post audits and ensure payer policy compliance.
• Communicate audit findings to the RCM Manager.
• Maintain annual CEUs and active certification.
• Codify patient encounters and ensure accurate reimbursements.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and coding trends.
• Provide coding guidance to providers and staff.
• Bill and assist with claim submission and denial resolution.
