Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Facilities Category Manager to lead third‑party vendor management, preventive maintenance programs, and cost control for a growing shop portfolio. The role reports to the VP of Facilities and supports regional teams to ensure cost-efficient, compliant facilities.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in facilities management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while traveling occasionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in general facilities maintenance/management preferred, restaurant industry a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with vendors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance of facilities and assist in annual plan and budget for preventive maintenance.
• Track budgets for repairs and maintenance and review proposals and invoices.
• Match open work orders with warranties and maintain maintenance programs.
• Oversee vendor selection, performance reviews, and contract negotiations.
• Support budgets and vendor relationships across multiple shops.
