Job summary

Solventum, a new healthcare company, is seeking an External Reporting Manager to ensure accurate, timely external financial reporting and compliance. The role partners with Finance, IR, Legal, Tax, and Treasury to manage earnings releases and investor materials in a dynamic environment.

You will lead audits, disclosures, and internal controls, drive continuous improvement, and mentor the external reporting team while adhering to evolving SEC rules and US GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Finance or Accounting in various environments.
• CPA is a plus; SEC external reporting and US GAAP disclosure experience preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills and strong organization and prioritization.
• Demonstrated system and process improvement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly Form 10-Q, annual Form 10-K, and other SEC filings to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate disclosures and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit procedures.
• Oversee reporting systems, software, and tools for efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with Finance, IR, Legal, Tax, Treasury and others on external communications.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Support complex accounting activities including goodwill impairment analyses.
• Monitor SEC/regulatory developments and assess implementation plans.
• Lead projects from inception to implementation in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide leadership and development to the external reporting team.
