Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an External Communications Specialist to strengthen its presence in the energy infrastructure space through strategic storytelling, media relations, and thought leadership.

The role can be fully remote or based in the San Diego, CA office; the candidate will craft external communications, develop differentiated content, and collaborate with internal teams to surface compelling stories and bolster SOLV Energy's reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, journalism, marketing, English, or related field.
• Five or more years in communications, PR, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or related discipline.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong interviewing, research, and information gathering abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across an organization.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate external communications materials including press releases and talking points.
• Support media outreach, interview prep, and relationships with industry media.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility of SOLV Energy and its leaders.
• Develop content highlighting people, projects, innovations, and partnerships.
• Build relationships with internal experts to surface stories and opportunities.
• Translate technical information into clear external content.
• Lead LinkedIn content planning, publishing, and analytics.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support integrated communications and editorial calendars.
