SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an External Communications Specialist to position the company as a leading energy infrastructure provider through strategic storytelling, media relations, and industry engagement.

The role can be fully remote or based in our San Diego office. You will develop content, support media outreach, and collaborate with internal experts to surface compelling narratives and strengthen SOLV Energy's reputation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, English or related field.
5+ years in communications, public relations, journalism, content marketing or media relations.
Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
Strong interviewing, research and information gathering capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Draft and coordinate external communications materials (press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points).
Support media outreach, interview preparation and relationships with industry media.
Monitor industry developments and surface opportunities to raise SOLV Energy visibility.
Identify and develop content highlighting people, projects, innovations and partnerships.
Develop thought leadership articles, project spotlights and LinkedIn content.
Translate technical information into clear external content and collaborate with subject matter experts.
Monitor analytics, maintain editorial calendar and align messaging with company priorities.
Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, BD, Operations and leadership.
