SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an External Communications Specialist to elevate the company’s reputation through strategic storytelling, media relations, thought leadership content, and industry engagement.

This role can be fully remote or based in our San Diego, CA office, with location details discussed during interviews. You will draft external communications, support media outreach, monitor industry trends, and develop content highlighting SOLV Energy’s people, projects, innovations,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
Five or more years in communications, public relations, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or related discipline.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Strong interviewing, research, and information-gathering capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across an organization.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Draft and coordinate external communications materials, including press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points, and briefing documents.
Support media outreach efforts, interview preparation, and relationship-building with industry media and external stakeholders.
Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities to increase visibility for SOLV Energy, its projects, and its leaders.
Identify, develop, and create content that highlights SOLV Energy's people, projects, innovations, partnerships, and industry expertise.
Establish relationships with internal subject matter experts, project teams, and business leaders to surface stories and opportunities.
Conduct research and interviews to gather information and develop compelling content.
Develop a variety of content, including thought leadership articles, project spotlights, and LinkedIn content.
Translate technical information into clear, compelling external content.
Contribute ideas that support long-term storytelling, reputation-building, and business objectives.
Monitor industry, competitor, and company news and prepare regular reports highlighting trends and reputational considerations.
Support executive visibility and thought leadership through research, messaging, and event communications.
Lead content planning, publishing, and performance tracking for LinkedIn and employee advocacy initiatives.
