Job summary

Bryan University is seeking an Experiential Learning Designer to craft scalable online learning experiences for the Higher Ed audience. You will apply instructional-design and cognitive science to improve engagement and outcomes, manage curriculum projects, and collaborate with directors and subject-matter experts to translate content into effective learning products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, Cognitive Science, or closely related field.
• 5+ years in online instructional/curriculum design for Higher Ed audience.
• Proven track record for being a dynamic communicator and facilitator with a focus on student-centered, adaptive development.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize creative pedagogical and technological techniques.
• Strong presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging online learning products aligned with Bryan University's Learning Model, program requirements, and applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Apply evidence-based instructional design, learning, and cognitive science principles to ensure alignment among outcomes, objectives, learning activities, and assessments.
• Collaborate with Program Directors, subject matter experts, faculty, and other stakeholders to translate content and program needs into effective learning experiences.
• Build and maintain learning products within the LMS using appropriate educational technologies and standards.
• Participate in quality-review processes and continuously improve the learning product.
• Develop authentic assessments designed for experience-based application of course outcomes or competencies.
• Analyze data, monitor program/course performance, and identify opportunities to improve learning outcomes.
• Continually reimagine programs and products by integrating established and emerging design concepts and technologies.
• Manage multiple projects from initiation through delivery ensuring progress.
• Stay abreast of changes in Higher Education, Instructional Design, and cognitive science fields.
