Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled Examiner to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits. The role involves reviewing claims, performing focused assessments, and rendering objective medical opinions based on records.

Some charting from home may be required, with up to 10% travel to other clinics. The position emphasizes independence, collaboration with QA, HIPAA compliance, and timely reporting in VA formats to support accurate adjudications

Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner license in the United States and not barred from practice.
At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
BLS certification (including renewals).
Experience conducting medical disability examinations or related field preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively and to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations, including history review and physicals.
Review and analyze medical records and diagnostic results.
Render objective medical opinions based on findings and records.
Document examination findings in VA-format reports and ensure compliance with VA guidelines.
Coordinate with QA and other healthcare professionals as needed.
