Job summary

Internet2 is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Specialist to own the email-first strategy for its Global Summit and Technology Exchange, coordinating 40+ emails per event and multi-channel promotion to 18,000+ contacts. You’ll craft audience-focused messaging for technical practitioners and executives, and partner across Communications, Digital Experience, and Convening to drive registrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years in event or integrated marketing with copywriting and multi-channel campaigns.
• Experience with Pardot or similar marketing automation platform.
• Experience managing large email databases and high-volume campaigns across audiences.
• Proven ability to write clear, persuasive content that drives engagement and conversions.
• Experience coordinating campaigns across digital advertising, social media and other channels.
• Strong analytical skills to translate campaign data into insights.
• Excellent organizational and collaboration skills; ability to manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% in the United States.
• Cover letter highlighting directly relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end email strategy and execution for Global Summit and Technology Exchange, managing 40+ emails per event.
• Coordinate multi-channel promotion across channels and partner with teams to maximize reach.
• Develop promotional assets and align messaging with organizational strategies.
• Collaborate with Strategic Communications, Digital Marketing, Web Experience, and other teams to ensure cohesive campaigns.
• Manage campaign reviews, approvals, and QA processes.
• Leverage event platforms for in-app messaging and on-site engagement.
