Job summary

Internet2 is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to own the marketing strategy and execution for its flagship events, Global Summit and Technology Exchange. The role focuses on email campaigns, multi-channel promotion, and collaboration with a cross-functional team to maximize registrations and engagement.

You will craft tailored messaging for diverse audiences, manage automation and testing, and support additional community convening opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, audience-focused content that drives engagement and conversion.
• Experience managing large email databases, developing audience segments, and executing high-volume campaigns across multiple audiences simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing (or related field) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end email strategy and execution for Global Summit and Technology Exchange, managing 40+ emails per event across the full attendee lifecycle.
• Coordinate event promotion across industry publications, digital channels, and owned platforms to ensure timely execution and consistent messaging.
• Collaborate with Strategic Communications, Digital Experience, and other stakeholders to execute integrated event marketing campaigns.
• Develop promotional assets such as attendee testimonials, case studies, speaker highlights, and short-form videos.
