Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Compliance Specialist to manage Ethics & Compliance processes and drive program improvement. Reporting to the VP, Ethics & Compliance, you will coordinate cross-functional teams and lead high-impact projects from design to execution.

The role covers policy governance, training, monitoring, third-party compliance, risk management, and data reporting. Remote work option; strong MS 365, Power BI, and AI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in business/finance/compliance or related field.
• CCEP certification preferred.
• 3-5 years in ethics/compliance, risk, audit, governance or related function.
• Strong understanding of policy governance, training, communications, monitoring.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Proficient with MS 365 apps; experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, automation, data analysis.
• Experience using generative AI tools; Copilot Studio or similar platforms preferred.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Ability to conduct in-person focus groups and travel to properties.

Responsibilities

• Administer conflicts of interest and gifts & hospitality disclosures.
• Review submissions, approvals, records, trends; propose process improvements.
• Conduct testing and monitoring to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and management reports.
• Monitor implementation of investigation recommendations.
• Analyze surveys and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop ethics communications, campaigns, and training content.
• Facilitate focus groups and live training; travel as needed.
• Own policy lifecycle: drafting, reviews, approvals, publication, maintenance.
• Identify policy improvements from risks and investigations.
• Leverage Copilot Studio, Power BI, SharePoint, Smartsheet to improve operations.
• Support AI-enabled workflows and lead special projects.
