Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The role collaborates with business development, project managers, and engineers to ensure timely and precise estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook).
• Exceptional Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret RFP documents, project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Accurately identify and quantify equipment and OEM requirements.
• Meet and maintain bidding schedules.
• Participate in estimate reviews.
• Work with subcontractors to define and get costs for minor scopes of work.
• Maintain vendor relationships to stay current on equipment models and manuals affecting pricing.
• Identify risks and assist in risk matrix and go/no-go decisions.
