Jefferson Classical Academy of Florida, part of ACCEL Schools, is an online K–8 program that serves Florida residents. This virtual teaching opportunity focuses on implementing IEPs, MTSS, and data-driven instruction in a rigorous, nurturing environment. Occasional in-person travel supports state testing and events.

Open to Florida residents, the role requires collaboration with parents, teachers, and specialists to maintain records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local mandates.

Qualifications

• Masters’ Degree preferred.
• Three years of teaching experience, with at least 2 in special education.
• Current Florida certification/licensure in appropriate area.
• Strong content knowledge across one or more subjects.
• Familiarity with MTSS and state proficiency testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IEP implementation for each student.
• Write IEPs in a timely manner.
• Participate in MTSS processes.
• Maintain student records per regulations.
• Prepare and administer tests and progress reports.
• Lead 1:1, small group, or whole class instruction.
• Schedule and attend IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with parents and specialists.
• Attend professional development.
