Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking a dedicated K–12 online teacher for statewide Florida instruction. This role involves delivering live sessions, managing LMS setup, and monitoring progress across asynchronous courses, with required travel for state testing and events.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years of teaching experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state accountability goals.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grades daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student level data to inform instructional program adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all student needs.
• Utilize best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment and integrate culturally responsive teaching.
