Leap Tools in a remote-first setup seeks a software engineer to move dealers from desktop apps to a modern web ERP. You'll work across Django backend and Next.js frontend, reading legacy code where needed to replicate behaviour and deliver end-to-end features.

You’ll ship with tests, participate in code reviews, mentor juniors, and collaborate with senior engineers. The company emphasizes ownership, curiosity, and rapid execution, with worldwide flexibility and supportive benefits.

Competenze

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals based on a degree in computer science or equivalent work.
• Experience building backend services and APIs, and some frontend experience.
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Strong focus on execution and delivery of the product.

Mansioni

• Build features end-to-end across the ERP service and the web ERP: Django models and APIs, and the Next.js screens that use them.
• Break well-defined work down into steps, deliver it, and raise trade-offs you see along the way.
• Write correct models and database migrations that respect tenant isolation and row-level security.
• Read the desktop codebase to understand legacy behaviour before rebuilding it.
• Ship with tests, watch releases in production, and fix what breaks.
• Give solid code reviews in your area, and learn from the reviews you get.
• Keep your lead and your team informed with clear status, and flag risks early.
• Learn from senior engineers, and help the more junior ones.
