Job summary

Chartis is seeking a seasoned Program Director to serve as the overall program leader for end-to-end Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization across healthcare organizations. You will provide executive governance and partner with CIOs and senior leaders to drive successful outcomes.

The role demands 12+ years in healthcare IT consulting with Epic, strong leadership, and the ability to manage scope, budget, and risk while mentoring junior staff. Remote work is allowed in the US.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of healthcare consulting or healthcare IT experience focused on Epic implementations.
• Experience as a Project Director or Program Director on large Epic deployments.
• Understanding of Epic implementation methodologies and core tools to lead planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
• Flexibility to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Epic implementations, upgrades, and major optimization efforts across healthcare organizations.
• Provide executive-level leadership and governance, partnering with client executives (CIO, CMIO, CNIO, CFO, operational leaders).
• Lead end-to-end program delivery including scope, timeline, budget, risk management, and quality outcomes.
• Provide leadership to junior staff, supporting development of their skills and delivery knowledge.
• Participate in program governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting.
