Job summary

Sentara Health Plans in Virginia Beach is seeking an IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic HIM Coding, collaborate with CDI and Revenue Cycle teams, and optimize HIM workflows for coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires Epic HIM Coding certification and 3+ years of IT analyst experience with Epic workflows, plus strong analytical and documentation skills. This is a remote position with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, HIM, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Active Epic HIM Coding Certification (Required).
Minimum 3 years of IT analyst experience supporting Epic applications with direct Epic HIM Coding workflows.

Responsibilities

Analyze workflows, identify system improvement opportunities, and implement solutions for coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic HIM Coding application functionality including coding work queues and revenue cycle integration.
Support system upgrades, testing, validation, incident management, and change management processes.
Collaborate with HIM Coding, CDI, Revenue Cycle, clinical, and technical teams to implement and support system enhancements.
