Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. is seeking an IT Specialty Analyst - Epic HIM Coding in Virginia Beach to support, optimize, maintain and enhance Epic HIM Coding applications.

You will work with HIM Coding, CDI, Revenue Cycle and operations teams to analyze workflows and implement system solutions that improve coding accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role requires deep knowledge of HIM coding workflows, Epic application support, and strong analytical, communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT analyst experience supporting Epic applications with direct Epic HIM Coding workflows.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Epic HIM Coding functionality.
• Experience conducting workflow analysis and translating operational needs into system solutions.
• Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, incident and change management.
• Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient coding processes and HIM workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with HIM Coding, CDI, Revenue Cycle and clinical/technical teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance, and enhancements of Epic HIM Coding applications.
• Collaborate with HIM Coding, CDI, Revenue Cycle and operations to implement improvements.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, incident resolution, and change management.
• Analyze workflows and translate requirements into actionable system solutions.
• Assist end users with training, support, and documentation of processes.
• Ensure coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
