Job summary

Providence is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to support clinicians remotely from a footprint state, with a schedule of Wednesday-Saturday 11am-9:30pm PDT. The CIS acts as a liaison between clinical practice and Information Services to drive the adoption and optimization of Epic and related technologies across care settings.

Ideal candidates hold a clinical IT/ informatics background, EHR experience, and a passion for adult learning to ensure effective knowledge transfer and engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, IT/informatics, business, education, management, communications, or related field, or equivalent educ/experience.
• 2 years in a role with similar duties using a clinical information system in healthcare.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Understanding of adult learning benefits and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support Providence clinicians and caregivers in Epic usage as part of the Virtual Clinical Informatics team.
• Act as liaison between clinical practice and Information Services to promote adoption and optimization of clinical technologies.
• Assist with implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of clinical IT in the care continuum.
