Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking an experienced Epic Billing Claims professional to serve as a Lead Application Analyst for the Epic Billing Claims team. The role blends hands-on configuration work with team leadership, mentoring, and project-focused activities to deliver high‑quality solutions.

The successful candidate will guide, coach, and develop team members while staying actively involved in hands-on application work, including testing, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and related work experience.
• 7 years of IT application experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life‑Cycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrated knowledge of database structure and reporting techniques and tools.
• Epic certification in Professional Billing Claims and/or Hospital Billing with at least 5 years of administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process to ensure team members configure code using specifications and design documentation in line with standards and methodologies.
• Monitor key metrics and oversee Incident/Problem Management, IT Service Request and Task Management, Change Control Management and project deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings between IT application teams and other IT departments to resolve configuration issues and communicate status to leadership.
• Ensure unit testing of all code before QA, resolve test issues, and provide production support as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date application knowledge and partner with the business to gather requirements and drive solutions.
• Lead implementation planning for application changes and provide excellent customer service to end users and IT operations staff.
