Job summary

Optum seeks an Epic Professional Billing Claims Analyst with hands-on experience supporting Professional Billing claim operations and reimbursement optimization. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in Epic Resolute Professional Billing Claims, collaborating with revenue cycle, IT, and client teams to ensure accurate submissions.

Remote work is available nationwide with a Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area on-site requirement of four days per week for local hires.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing Claims
• 4+ years of healthcare experience
• 4+ years of experience in an Epic analyst role with function and build experience
• 4+ years of knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and process improvement

Responsibilities

• Maintain Professional Billing Claims configuration and builds with quality and timelines
• Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications
• Mentor and share expertise with client-based team members
• Lead Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows
• Document design, validation, and issue escalation processes
• Serve as liaison between Operations, IT and Third-Party Systems
• Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades
• Develop training materials with trainers
• Adhere to configuration and change control standards
• Build strong relationships with end users and business partners
