Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center seeks an experienced Epic Analyst certified in Cadence and Prelude to join the Revenue Cycle Patient Access IS team as we prepare to go-live with Epic in Fall 2027. This role is primarily remote, with monthly travel to the DC/MD area and occasional trainings.

Under IS leadership, design, implement and maintain Epic solutions and related integrations. Acts as SME, guides vendors and users, and ensures system performance and reliability through testing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• One year of relevant education may substitute for one year of required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Epic applications, providing advanced support, peer problem-solving, training, and guidance to IS teams and users.
• Leads Epic application projects and enhancements, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, upgrades, go-lives, and post-implementation support.
• Manages application performance, infrastructure, and system integrity, including monitoring production performance, capacity, backups, databases, data dictionaries, and supporting infrastructure.
• Leads testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for software updates, fixes, maintenance, integrations, and operational issues.
• Develops and maintains application and user support resources, including documentation, processes, workflows, and training materials.
• Supports reporting, analytics, and technology optimization by developing or assisting with standard and ad hoc reports and staying current on healthcare tech trends.
• Provides ongoing operational support and leadership, including project management, vendor coordination, and 24/7 on-call support.
