Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Epic Analyst certified in Cadence and Prelude to join the Revenue Cycle Patient Access IS team. The role is primarily remote with monthly travel to the DC/MD area before go-live in Fall 2027.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
5 years technical experience preferably in a healthcare or business environment.
EPIC Prelude and Cadence Certifications required.

Responsibilities

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Epic applications, providing advanced support, peer problem-solving, training, and guidance to IS teams and users.
Leads Epic application projects and enhancements, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, upgrades, go-lives, and post-implementation support.
Manages application performance, infrastructure, and system integrity, including monitoring production performance, capacity, backups, application utilization, databases, data dictionaries, master files, and supporting infrastructure.
Leads testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for software updates, fixes, maintenance, integrations, and operational issues.
Develops and maintains application and user support resources, including documentation, processes, workflows, and training materials.
Supports reporting, analytics, and technology optimization by developing or assisting with standard and ad hoc reports, evaluating application utilization and effectiveness.
