Job summary

WM is seeking a Territory Manager within Sustainability Services to direct the service area of a vertical line of business, managing P&L, budgets, ISO programs and service delivery across assigned operating units in the U.S. This remote position requires 50–75% travel and residence in Central or Eastern time zones.

You will develop bids, manage projects, and drive customer satisfaction while leading teams and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 7 years of relevant work experience in project/business work within the environmental or industrial services industry (in addition to education requirement).
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience required Upon Hire
• OSHA 24-Hour HAZWOPER Certification required Upon Hire
• Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the development and maintenance of a safety conscious organization within all assigned customer sites.
• Oversees Project Manager's development of a safe work environment that complies with all customer/site regulatory requirements.
• Renegotiates contracts, services and projects with existing clients and vendors and prepares quotes/proposals.
• Manages profit/loss, receivables, pricing, invoicing, budgeting and related accounting for customers.
• Develops and implements environmental health and safety and ISO program activities and compliance.
• Educates and develops Project Managers and operating team; ensures training and WM policies are followed.
• Documents best practices and lessons learned at customer locations.
• Develops facility waste management plans and waste minimization programs.
• Ensures proper regulatory waste profiling, labeling and shipping documentation.
• Works to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and identify cost savings for customers.
• Leads quarterly and annual business reviews with clients.
• Collaborates with WM Market Areas and Districts to maintain core services and customer satisfaction.
