Job summary

WM is seeking a Territory Manager within Sustainability Services to direct all aspects of a service area across a national footprint. You will oversee profit and loss, budgeting, safety programs and project execution at client sites, while developing bids, managing teams, and driving growth.

The role involves travel 20-25% and requires strong leadership, regulatory and environmental expertise to deliver cost-effective solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction across multiple operating units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 7 years of relevant work experience in project/business work within the environmental or industrial services industry.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a safety-conscious organization within all assigned customer sites and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage customer service issues and identify contract/service enhancements through regular interaction with customers, operating team and vendors.
• Prepare quotes and proposals for contracts and projects with existing clients.
• Oversee financial and operating performance to ensure profitability and meet budgets.
• Educate and mentor Project Managers and operating teams; ensure training and WM policies are followed.
• Develop and implement waste management plans and optimize waste reduction opportunities.
• Ensure proper waste profiling, labeling and documentation.
