Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee environmental remediation and heavy civil projects across the United States. You will lead onsite crews, manage safety plans, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate with multiple craft teams on complex projects.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of supervisory construction experience in remediation or heavy civil, strong communication skills, and the ability to plan field activities and manage risks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supervisor-level construction experience.
• Experience with environmental remediation and heavy civil projects.
• Ability to plan field activities and direct multiple crafts.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of safety plans and incident reporting.
• Willingness to travel/relocate near western Ohio preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site H&S rep and Site Safety Officer to enforce Health and Safety Plans.
• Review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis and incident reporting.
• Perform pre-task planning and coordinate field activities for crafts and equipment.
• Lead all aspects of work performance and productivity of crafts and subcontractors.
• Ensure timecards reflect hours and tasks and are submitted timely.
• Understand project scope and advise management on changes or risks.
• Assist in planning work schedule, workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Assist with selecting and hiring project craft personnel.
• Mentor direct reports and subcontractors; ensure safety culture.
