Job summary

GHD's Construction group is hiring an Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee projects across the United States, including environmental remediation, earthwork, heavy civil, demolition, and dredging. The role will involve directing onsite crews, ensuring deadlines, quality control, and coordinating with safety and project teams.

The position requires working remote on project sites with regular home rotations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supervisor-level experience on environmental remediation, heavy civil, or related projects.
• Ability to review schedules and direct field activities across multiple crafts.
• Strong communication skills with clients and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of safety plans and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead site crews and subcontractors to meet project rules, specs, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate field activities and manage work performance and productivity.
• Monitor timecards and ensure accurate reporting of hours and tasks.
• Assist planning of project schedule, workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Support hiring and mentoring of craft personnel.
• Understand contract scope and anticipate potential changes.
