Job summary

Lignetics, Inc. in Kootenai, Idaho, seeks an Environmental Manager to lead environmental programs across-site compliance and improvement efforts for a 100% remote role. You will partner with operations, drive regulatory adherence, and advance sustainability initiatives in a biomass-focused manufacturing environment.

The role requires a strong, hands-on leader with excellent communication skills and a bias for practical, actionable solutions that reduce risk and enhance environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing environmental programs across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of permits, reporting, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with operations and leadership to drive improvements.
• Proven analytical and proactive problem solving in environmental topics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental strategies and policies for manufacturing sites.
• Manage compliance schedules and coordinate with operations for permitting and reporting.
• Serve as SME on environmental permits and nationwide facility requirements.
• Lead corrective actions for compliance gaps and maintain environmental stewardship.
• Act as liaison between external advisers and regulatory agencies on environmental matters.
• Attend hearings and events, build local relationships to support environmental items.
