Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to design and build our companywide data solution. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems, health informatics, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in data architecture or healthcare IT.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR/HL7).
• Knowledge of cloud data solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, secure data systems (warehouses, lakes, real-time processing) for OU Health analytics platform.
• Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across clinical, research, and operational systems.
• Ensure models support healthcare requirements (clinical, claims, provider, member).
• Design and oversee ETL/ELT data integration to enable data flow between OU Health and partners.
• Collaborate with clinical, research, and admin stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and integrate new technologies.
• Implement robust security and backup procedures to protect patient information and ensure privacy compliance.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, data dictionaries, and architecture blueprints.
• Provide training and mentorship on data management, security, and governance.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot data issues and implement new technologies.
• Coordinate with project managers and architects to deliver integrated solutions.
