Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to design and govern the data architecture spanning operational systems, cloud platforms, and analytics to support Medicare Advantage business and care management.

You will build data models for risk adjustment and HEDIS, enforce data governance and security, integrate data from claims, EHRs, and third-party sources, and collaborate with clinical ops, actuarial, compliance, IT, and BI teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture and enterprise data integration.
• Minimum 2 years in a health plan with claims data, EHRs, HEDIS, and CMS reporting.
• Experience designing data platforms in regulated environments with PHI/PII datasets.
• Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and lakehouse/real-time.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture initiatives and agile delivery.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage programs and risk adjustment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern the data architecture across systems, cloud, and analytics.
• Build and maintain data models for risk adjustment and CMS submissions.
• Establish data governance, data quality, lineage, PHI/PII protection.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from claims, EHRs, pharmacies, and third parties.
• Define and uphold security architecture meeting HIPAA, CMS, and SOC 2 requirements.
• Evaluate data platforms and vendors aligned with strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, population health, finance, product, and compliance.
• Advance data-enabled innovation including AI/ML and real-time streaming.
