Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Team Lead (SDET) based in the United States to lead quality engineering, test automation, and release engineering for a large financial services platform. The role blends hands-on software engineering with Agile leadership, guiding AI-assisted tooling and modern cloud deployments.

Responsibilities include designing scalable automation, improving CI/CD pipelines, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with product teams.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience in test automation.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Engineering Team Lead, combining hands-on technical contributions, Agile delivery leadership, and team mentorship.
• Strong programming proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable programming languages.
• Proven proficiency with Claude and AI-assisted software engineering tools, including applying them to testing and development.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, and modern software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile Team Execution: Drive Agile delivery and sprint execution, fostering team ownership and predictable delivery.
• Develop Test Automation Frameworks: Architect and maintain reusable test automation frameworks and quality practices.
• Establish Testing Strategies across API, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance tests.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, automate tasks, and accelerate problem solving.
• Manage test data and support releases and legacy integrations across complex environments.
• Improve CI/CD and deployment processes and collaborate with product teams to refine requirements.
