Job summary

Affim is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager for the Resilience Engineering team to ensure safety and reliability of production systems. You will lead initiatives in production load testing, chaos engineering, and proactive validation to discover issues before they affect users.

You will build platforms and tooling, establish best practices, and partner across infrastructure, product, and security to embed resilience into the SDLC. Remote-first with occasional in-person onboarding.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading engineering teams in reliability, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
Hands‑on experience with production load testing, chaos engineering, or large‑scale system validation.
Experience with chaos engineering tools (Gremlin/Harness or similar).

Responsibilities

Define and drive the resilience engineering vision for production load testing and chaos engineering as core engineering practices.
Lead and mentor a team building platforms and tooling for safe production experimentation.
Embed resilience validation into the software development lifecycle with engineering, product, and security partners.
Establish safeguards, isolation, approval workflows, and automated rollback for real-user protection.
Build end-to-end observability, traceability, and auditability for resilience experiments.
Drive reliability improvements by systematically identifying weaknesses through load testing and chaos experiments.
