Job summary

Affim is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Resilience Engineering team. You will drive a vision for safe production load testing and chaos experiments, partnering with infrastructure, product, and security to embed resilience across the lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, build platforms for safe production experimentation, and establish guardrails, observability, and rollback mechanisms to protect real users. This is a remote-friendly, senior leadership role with high impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading reliability, infrastructure, or distributed systems teams.
• Hands-on with production load testing and chaos engineering.
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and observability.
• Strong safety-focused design and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the resilience engineering vision, focusing on production load testing and chaos engineering.
• Lead engineers building platforms and tooling for safe production experimentation.
• Partner with infra, product, and security leaders to embed resilience validation in the SDLC.
• Establish best practices for testing system limits and failure scenarios in production.
• Own design and evolution of platforms enabling safe production load testing and fault injection.
