Job summary

Supabase is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams across backend services, platform, and databases. This remote-first role focuses on people, delivery, and technical leadership, with a new role to shape from day one.

You will own the team roadmap, run 1:1s, manage performance, and guide hiring and talent development, while coordinating incident response and post-incident reviews in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering background.
• 3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud, SaaS, or developer tools is a strong preference.

Responsibilities

• Own the team's roadmap and project management (Linear).
• Lead 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for direct reports.
• Handle people admin (leave, time off) for the team.
• Own the hiring plan and act as Hiring Manager for the team.
• Drive incident coordination, post-incident reviews, and blameless retrospectives.
