Pilot.com, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure team. You will lead a remote group responsible for core infrastructure, developer experience, the design system, frontend infrastructure, and security, guiding the team to ship iteratively and own outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and collaborate with product, operations, and other stakeholders to build a scalable platform that serves thousands of accounting firms nationwide.

Qualifications

• Two years in an official managerial role, including at least one year managing a remote team.
• Experience growing teams and owning the recruiting lifecycle.
• Strong technical background; able to discuss design and strategy with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers who like shipping code and solving hard problems.
• Mentor the professional and technical growth of team members; assign projects.
• Foster collaboration, inclusion and respect within the team.
• Provide continuous feedback, address performance, and recognize strengths.
• Plan priorities for technical challenges and resource needs within the org.
• Instill continuous improvement in code, architecture, and processes.
• Grow the team by aligning with business needs and diverse talent.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog with short- and long-term goals with engineers and stakeholders.
• Build relationships across Engineering, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Shape development across Pilot by defining practices and evolving tech stack.
• Think medium- to long-term to scale with Pilot’s growth.
