Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for the FINT (Financial Intelligence) team within FinHub in the Platform group.

You will lead a six-engineer team to re-architect core account and history systems for higher throughput and reliability, enabling new financial products such as sub-accounts and agentic trading. You will partner with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define a quarterly roadmap, ship iterative milestones, and own the FinHub Tools roadmap with internal UIs

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years in engineering management.
• Proven ability to deliver and operate distributed systems at scale in production.
• Experience translating ambiguous technical problems into concrete execution plans.
• Familiarity with financial systems, event-driven architectures, or high-precision processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers across levels, coaching on technical excellence and career development.
• Drive re-architecture of core account and history systems to support new product primitives and throughput demands.
• Own the Finhub Tools roadmap, building internal UIs, dashboards, and workflows for engineering and operations.
• Shape architectural decisions across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling.
• Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define and execute a quarterly roadmap.
• Partner with talent to recruit engineers and manage SLA, incidents, and on-call practices.
