Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Engineering Manager for the FINT team in FinHub. You’ll guide a six‑engineer group through re-architecting account and history systems to scale for new product primitives, including sub-accounts and agentic trading experiences.

You’ll own the Finhub Tools roadmap, build internal UIs and dashboards, and collaborate across product, finance, and leadership to deliver a quarterly plan with measurable milestones. Strong focus on reliability and developer UX.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years in engineering management.
• Experience delivering and operating distributed systems at scale in production.
• Ability to translate long-horizon technical problems into concrete milestones.
• Experience with financial systems, event-driven architectures, or high-precision transaction processing.
• Comfort leading teams with backend services, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers across multiple levels, coaching on technical excellence.
• Drive the re-architecture of core account and history systems to support new product primitives.
• Own the Finhub Tools roadmap, building internal UIs, dashboards, and agentic workflows.
• Shape architectural decisions across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and tooling.
• Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define quarterly roadmap.
• Partner with talent organization to recruit engineers and own engineering quality processes.
