Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Engineering Manager for the FINT team in FinHub. You will lead a team of engineers, drive the re-architecture of critical account and history systems, and own the FinHub Tools roadmap to accelerate engineering and operations across the company.

You will partner with product and leadership to define quarterly milestones, hire top talent, and ensure high-quality code with robust incident response practices. This role is remote-first with in-person surge sessions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering
• Experience leading teams and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to design scalable systems and drive technical excellence

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers across multiple levels, coaching on technical excellence and career development
• Drive re-architecture of core account and history systems to support new product primitives and higher throughput
• Own the Finhub Tools roadmap, building internal UIs, dashboards, and agentic workflows
• Shape architectural decisions across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling
• Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define and execute a quarterly roadmap
• Recruit exceptional engineers and own engineering quality processes including SLA accountability, incident response, and on-call practices
