Job summary

Rosenxt seeks an Engineering Manager Software & AI to lead a distributed US team across AI/ML, cloud backend, frontend, and DevOps. This role emphasizes autonomy, strategic delivery, and collaboration with German leadership.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture discussions, and scale processes across time zones while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• 2+ years managing cross-disciplinary teams (software, AI/ML, DevOps).
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/SE/AI/ML).
• Production experience with AI/ML systems or high-reliability cloud/edge architectures (preferred).
• Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed US team of 13 engineers across AI/ML, cloud backend, frontend, and DevOps.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, manage performance, support career development, and foster a high-trust culture.
• Drive delivery cadence by clearing blockers, planning milestones, and ensuring reliable execution.
• Champion engineering excellence with CI/CD, cloud automation, AI assistance, code reviews, monitoring, and documentation.
• Serve as operational link between US team and leadership in Europe; align HR/ops with California management.
• Participate in architectural discussions across AI/ML pipelines, cloud infra, and core systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable processes across time zones.
